specialization - Journal of Security Studies and Global Politics responds to a significant gap in the existing journals in the field of security studies and in International politics. It will bridge the divide between the two academic communities and will attract high quality research contribution from scholars of both the fields. Many scholars report a reluctance to submit serious research articles based on previous unpleasant experience of peer review by reviewers with no experience of epistemological and methodological aspects of scholarship. Academic security journals typically define themselves in terms of narrow areas of security issues. Meetings of the various groups with in the new research community have repeatedly noted the absence of natural “Journal of Choice” for the publication of high quality academic articles dealing with the security studies and international politics. Such a journal would be broader in scope and would cater topics related to security issues, and politics globally. The journal provides the basis for the development of high quality political and security scholarship. It will publish up to date and original research contributions for the benefit of scholars, policy makers and politicians. Areas of interest would include: Global politics International Relations and Development Public policy Security issues Global Economics International Law Terrorism
